as a child, xmas meant nothing to me as i was not a christian. there were celebrations going around in my catholic school but i could not recall any of the session. as i grew older, xmas became more happening for me and my gang. i remembered one incidence where SH, YM, JC and me celebrated xmas at a small pavilion in a park near st francis xavier church (somewhere near my primary sch). we bought grilled chicken, honey glazed ham, pizza and chips at emporium (now known as kovan mall). the park was dark but we bought many candles to light up the entire place *keke* only pity was we din bring insect repellent. HAHAHA... we exchanged present (i still remember those 2 women gave us perfumes!), sang carol and got stung by many mosquitoes lol
during jc times, xmas was celebrated with my gal(s). din quite remember liao, so i guess must be quite ordinary or cos i growing more senile LOL nv really celebrate xmas when i was in uni... cos not much frens also. as i stepped into the working world, xmas became more of a formality. buy gifts for office xmas exchange, buy gifts for boss, for kolics, having to 'thank' them for their help throughout the year as well as hoping they will continue helping you in the nx year.
i realised i bought alot of xmas gifts this year. erm... much more than previous years. the 'formality' custom continues BUT i think its due to the fact tt i have befrened more people. not to mention i always have 2 fix groups of frens to celebrate xmas with =) felt quited blessed to have such good frens... and i have also received more gifts this year. my dearest frens, many thanks for all the gifts, chocolates, cards. really appreciate everything you people have done for me. merry xmas~
